A huge addition for Shannon residents
After nearly a year in development our very own town park has been opened for public access. Costing over €1,000,000 the new park features a cycle pump track, water features, children's play areas, landscaped walkways, drinking fountain lots of seating areas and a bandstand.
The 'Pump Track' - a first-of-its kind cycle track for the mid west region and sure to be a success. Rider's must use their upper and lower body strength as they ride around the track. The idea of a pump track is to use this pumping motion to maintain your speed around the track without pedaling.
