Niamh O'Callaghan
Co Founder & Secretary Treasurer
What she wants is to follow in the footsteps of a lot of our Parents, many of whom were the first people who not just lived and raised families here in Shannon but who created a living vibrant community. "My parents like so many others, got stuck in and co-founded the Golf Club, Wolfe Tones and played a big part in St Senans and Young Munster" and she wants to continue that legacy and see Shannon thriving. Niamh wants to "aim for the stars" and knows that just about anything is possible if we all work together, we can make it happen.

Dara O’Callaghan
Co Founder
Dara and his wife Sara returned from Dublin to his hometown of Shannon to set up home and start their family life. “Shannon had been good to me as I started working at 16 with the late Al O’Connor in Texaco and as a town growing up, there was always a great community spirit and a sense of belonging. Shannon was a town full of opportunities” Dara manages the Crematorium and believes that the town is being forgotten about in certain political and financial channels. He hopes that with the support of the residents that the pressure that the #LoveShannon group can bring will work in some way to reigniting and re-enforcing the community spirit and sense of pride that Shannon was known for in its infancy whilst ensuring the town is benefiting and getting a fair share of the spoils from local government.
